 VCDS is thrilled to announce auditions for our first ever radio play, Technical Deadication, written by Helen Ho! This show will be directed by Naira Bahrami and will be released in November 2020.
SHOW SYNOPSIS: A rom-com-dram-zom about a lighting technician, sound technician, stage manager and a beautiful actress who all get trapped in a tech booth together-- amidst a zombie outbreak. A copy of the script can be found here. AUDITION INFORMATION: In light of COVID-19, all VCDS auditions will be held online this year. If you would like to be a part of Technical Deadication, you have until Monday, October 12th at midnight to send us your recordings. All auditions must be sent to Maliha and Jeff at artistic@vcds.ca. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Please send us an audio recording of you performing the Sound monologue and one other of your choosing from Technical Deadication. The sides that we would like you to read can be found here. In the recordings, please state your name, pronouns if you would like, and which monologues you will be performing. In addition to sending us your audio recordings, please fill out this Google Form. CALLBACKS: Requests to schedule a callback will be sent by Thursday, October 14th. Callbacks will be held in the evenings of October 15th-October 17th, and you will be asked to sign up for a time slot. CHARACTER LIST A full list with character descriptions can be found here.
